Responsibilities and Duties

  • As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization and safety throughout the facility. Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Performing routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, hallways and warehouse areas.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain a healthy workplace.
  • Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and ensuring waste areas remain clean and organized.
  • Restocking restroom and breakroom supplies such as paper products, soap and cleaning materials.
  • Maintaining floors through proper care techniques, including spot cleaning and periodic deep cleaning.
  • Monitoring facility conditions and reporting maintenance issues such as leaks, lighting outages, or safety hazards.
  • Properly storing, handling and managing janitorial supplies and equipment.
  • Comfortably and safely operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning chemicals and solutions, in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Following all safety protocols and cleaning standards under the guidance of the Facilities & Maintenance leadership team.
  • Supporting special cleaning projects and seasonal deep-cleaning initiatives as needed.
  • Detail-Oriented Execution: Execute tasks with precision and attention to detail, exhibiting reliability, thoroughness, and a commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and teammates, while also providing clear and concise communication regarding custodial activities.
  • Initiative and Autonomy: Take initiative in task completion and exhibit self-directed work ethic, requiring minimal supervision while consistently achieving high-quality results.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven track record in custodial or facility maintenance roles, preferably within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness and precision in all tasks performed.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent work hours and output, reliably executing assigned duties.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional environment.
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending and lifting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively interacting with colleagues, teammates and vendors.
  • Energetic self-starter with the ability to take initiative and complete tasks autonomously.
  • Openness to new ideas and willingness to collaborate with peers, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Understanding of and experience working in accordance with health and safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of employees and visitors.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to address facility maintenance challenges.

Compensation
  • $20.00/hr + depending on prior experience
  • Quarterly Bonus Opportunity of $750
